Awwww I was going to play this but it seems you're using a new version of renpy? It's incompatible with older graphics (like mine) but thankfully it can be bypassed by switching the renderer from opengl to directx. Unfortunately I cannot access the game screen to press Shift + G and change the renderer since there seems to be a cutscene at the start (?) which immediately gives a lot of burden on the old graphic and shut down the game. If there was no cutscene I can probably access the main game menu and change the renderer but unfortunately no, I can't even start the game without it turning off instantly (I also don't know whether it's a cutscene or what since the game turns itself before I even able to see it!). Don't worry, not your fault, just old graphics problem. Well I guess that means I simply can't play it, sorry!

Quick question, are those Lyra abs or armor???

(+5)

Abs. And when you think about it, isn't abs the flesh version of armor?
BUT, yes those are her abs. Lyra is shredded, she has a six pack.

damn straight up chocolate bar

Are Lyra's visuals inspired by Lampião or Cangaceiro culture from Brazil? Loved the game btw

(+1)

Yes, they are! I wanted to give her a very distinct Brasilian feel as someone that grew up reading stories about cangaceiros! Akua did an AMAZING job with everyone's designs so all the kudos for them.

Is this a kinetic novel?

(1 edit) (+1)

Yes, yes it is.

Aw, darn.

(-4)

Is this an actual game, or just a visual novel? It doesn't say what genre this is.

Well, that is an interesting question now. Many people consider Visual Novels to be games but others consider them to be their own thing, its own form of media! I like to consider that they are both games and their own thing. Now many say that they aren't games to diminish them, because of some old and useless preconceptions of what makes something a real game, and I think those people are just boring and can't enjoy the nice things in life.

Also, its genre is yuri romance.

(-3)

I'll take that as "yes, this is a visual novel".

Which is also a type of game, but also, its own thing.

(-7)

Which I can clearly tell you think is a game. I'm not taking away your enjoyment, but I prefer cool games with action missiles and orcs wearing jetpacks.

(+4)

That actually seems boring. Are you sure that is a game?

(+4)

Then why did you even ask? It is pretty obvious that this game has nothing to do with missiles or orcs.

(+2)

Your dismissive attitude towards visual novels is not welcome. VN can be "actual" games.

Hey there ! Got a fatal error : file "game/script.rpy" line 848 no image associated to u'mock' ;)

And after that it's a bugfest of missing assets ^^'

I've reuploaded the bug free version of the game, and I verified that those bugs have been resolved and aren't there anymore. You may have had downloaded the first version of the game, before we solved those bugs.

Oh sorry then ! Should have checked the version before notifying.

It's okay! I hope you give the game a second chance and enjoy the story. (You were really close to my favourite part!) And if you do, please leave a review and tell us what you thought about it!
